Ask any group of riggers “which carabiner is your favorite?” and you’ll get ten different opinions, all based on a preference of which shape, which gate, strength, or which just seems to “click” for them most.
As practitioners, we don’t just buy what’s on sale or what’s getting the hype of ‘latest and greatest.’ Instead we methodically try different things and figure out what works for us. We use it, evaluate it, consider various options, and develop our favorites depending on their task.
This collection is made for us… the ones who notice the details. The Gearheads that develop opinions and have built their cache from their favorite pieces of gear. Some might even say we tend to overthink about these things… or shall I say “OVALTHINK?”
