Details about color options:
If the color you want is listed in the ready-to-ship listing, but out of stock, it means I have the goods and can sew your helmet brim at no extra cost… it just may take a little longer for me to ship (approximately 3-4 business days.)
Colors not listed: To acquire a new color option, contact me for availability. A minimum purchase quantity may apply. The fabric used for the XL Helmet Brims is 1000D Nylon Cordura and generally available in solid colors. Prints will be very limited, and costs more, if at all possible.
Details about Custom Sizing:
If your helmet measures only 1”-1.5” outside of the standard range, then I only charge a minimal difference. Use this listing to purchase. These brims are designed with an oval shape to fit over many rope rescue helmets with a circumference of approximately 27”-29" such as the Petzl Vertex and the Kask SuperPlasma HD. If you have a slightly smaller helmet, such as a Black Diamond Half Dome (approx 26.5”) the standard brim fits but may have a tiny amount of looseness. I can adjust the interior circumference to make it more snug, and likewise, widen the interior circumference. Contact me with details so I may work to make a brim to fit your needs.
If your helmet does not have integrated clips, an alternate design may be needed. Equestrian helmets, bicycle helmets, and other styles will need a way to keep the brim from sliding off with movement. Contact me if you want something more custom and I’ll let you know if I am able to accommodate your needs. Do not use this custom listing for redesigns. The price will vary more than listed here.
The amount of time to make your order will vary depending on raw goods availability and my personal travels when away from the shop, but usually a custom order will take about 2-3 business days after receiving the raw goods.
